Isla Tortuga

Costa Rica is famous for its romantic day cruises to its exotic Pacific Islands!

This excursion departs from San José very early in the morning on route to Puntarenas, where you will board a yacht to Tortuga (Turtle Island), a beautiful island located in the Gulf of Nicoya, Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica.

At Tortuga Island you will experience a day full of beautiful skies, great ocean views and live music. On board the yacht savory tropical fruits and refreshing natural drinks will be served. Then, you will explore the island, immersing yourself in the calm clear waters and lush landscape, where you can take a swim, sunbathe, and/or take an optional tour like kayaking or canopy. If you choose our standard tour, snorkeling and a banana boat ride are included. Then a delicious lunch will be prepared by the crew.

  1. Full payment is required at the time of reservation to secure your spot. We will email you a confirmation so you will be fully paid up on the day of your trip. For last minute bookings please check availability first.
  2. Cancellation charges vary by the provider, please contact us for details.
  3. Most services run daily unless they have reached capacity on your date or have not reached a minimum number of persons required for the service to operate. If we are unable to accommodate you on your chosen date, we will, at your option, either reschedule your date or promptly refund your payment, less bank fees.
  4. Tours will depart daily regardless of weather unless conditions would make it unsafe, so please be prepared for the possibility of rain.
  5. Should your plans change and you need to make changes, we will work with the supplier to either accommodate you at another time or refund your money according to our terms & conditions.
  6. The client is responsible for any fees charged by the vendor as they have committed resources to your arrangement and may have more restrictive policies. The more notice you give us, the more likely we will be able to re-accommodate you.
  7. For arrangements within Costa Rica please always make sure to carry a copy of your valid passport and your last entry stamp with you. For day and multi-day trips that involve border-crossing you must carry your valid passport and a copy of it with you at all times. We also recommend to have a printed version of your flight ticket, to proof that you will leave the country. Border crossing fees may apply.
  8. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice are non-refundable.
  9. Cancellations of single bookings will incur a $15 cancellation fee (plus any bank or vendor charges). Changes of dates or times may be possible without a fee depending on availability or vendor policy; otherwise the cancellation fee will apply.
  10. Cancellations are subject to bank imposed fees which are generally 3% to 5% of the amount. Or we will be happy to apply your payment to another service.
  11. Cancellations must be made in writing.
  12. No shows are subject to a 100% penalty.
